Surprise, Surprise......

It turns out you don't have to be a slender, gorgeous, young blonde to be able to sing.
I'm glad the audience was willing to change their minds and give this talented woman her due after their initial sniggering reception of her onstage. Check out the derisive expressions of some of the audience members right before her number. The embed was disabled, so you will have to click here!

Ha, reminds me of karaoke night. Most of the ones you think will do well are drunk rednecks and the ones you want to sit back down make you cheer!

The song, I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserable, has, up to this point, been to me the sort of cacaphohy that would make me seriously consider leaving the premises of any establishment playing it. However, Ih'm guessing that's because I've never heard it sung properly. Oh. My. Goodness. That woman can sing. I finally get the song.

As far as I can tell, she's never had a singing lesson. I hope that the undoubtedly massive amounts of 'help' that are now descending on her like manna from Simon Crowell won't kill that perfect, inherent, and oh-so-rare musicality that she possesses.

Wow, an impressive number of spelling errors, even for me. Go! Go! Go!

Cameron showed this video to me the other day and we were both teary eyed!

Simon was also moved by her singing; that twinkle in his eyes definitely revealed his innermost thought, "ka-ching"!

Oh, and Djinn, it's not one of my favorite songs either, by any means, but she made it work.
