I'd just appreciate some benefit of the doubt, that's all.

And, in answer to your question, I don't vacuum in pearls. I don't vacuum as much as I should, to be honest. :) If you knew how weak and imperfect I really am, maybe our interactions could be different. I feel a bit like you react to some image you have of me, and I can tell you that it's not correct...as evidenced by the fact that you think I vacuum in pearls. :)

You are still welcome at my blog...please just don't come only to challenge my ideas or question me as a person, ok? Try to see and interact with me as a whole person, not just a nemesis on prop 8. There is much more to me and my life than prop 8, even as I obviously have strong feelings about it.

Again, I'm sorry you felt you had to remove all of your comments. I'm getting the sense that perhaps you felt hurt by what I said about pushing the limits, and I'm sorry.

Take care.

And I love the post about creative lunch ideas for halloween.m_and_mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00552368137212513094noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1087158582620400145.post-6489877691157533652008-10-27T05:19:00.000-07:002008-10-27T05:19:00.000-07:00"The yes on Prop 8 people now have pictures of the..."The yes on Prop 8 people now have pictures of the children at the wedding up on commercials, implying that your loverly son or daughter may be forced to be exposed to such horrors themselves. Yet again I've got the vapors. Children weren't required to go, the problem seems to be that some parents (probably quite a few related to me) find it horrifying for their children to find out that people of the same sex can (for at least awhile) in California, get married."

Not only were children not required to go, the whole outing was the idea of the parents and children (not of the school). Parents had the opportunity to opt out, if they so choose (and a couple did).

So, evidently, the problem here is not that it's horrifying for people that their children my find out about same-sex marriage, the problem is that it's horrifying for *other* people's children to find out about same sex marriage. They want to not only control what their children are learning, they want to control what *your* children are learning, too.

Patrick Meighan
Culver City, CAPatrick Meighanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17142434479229635863noreply@blogger.com
